MAX KLINGER AND BOCKLIN'S ISLE OF THE DEAD

Gurlitt, Böcklin's dealer, asked Klinger to engraved some Böcklin's paintings in 1880: Toteninsel (third version), Frühlingstang, Ruin am Meer.

M.Klinger met Böcklin in 1887 in Berlin and in 1893 in Florence. He was a friend of Max Reger (1907). (Doc PLecocq)
